Once you have successfully completed periodontal treatment, it is usually recommended that you have professional dental cleanings every 3 months. This accelerated schedule is necessary so either your dentist or periodontist can monitor your treatment outcomes and address any issues before they get worse. Usually, we will recommend that you alternate these appointments with your general dentist and our office.
