Meet Dr. Dastoor

Dr. Dastoor is a Board-Certified Periodontist who earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine (D.M.D.) degree from the University of Pennsylvania. He furthered his education by obtaining both his Certificate and Master of Science (M.S.) in Periodontics from the University of Michigan. Following his clinical training, Dr. Dastoor held a faculty position at the University of Michigan, where he conducted a significant clinical trial in the realm of periodontal surgery. Before establishing Precision Periodontics & Implant Dentistry in Houston, he practiced within a multi-specialty dental setting.

With pride, Dr. Dastoor holds the distinction of being among the select 33% of periodontists awarded the title of Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology. This accolade signifies his exceptional achievements beyond the mandatory educational requirements of the specialty, as certified by the American Board of Periodontology through extensive written and oral examinations.

A prolific author, Dr. Dastoor has contributed to numerous articles in nationally recognized dental journals. He is also a sought-after presenter, sharing cutting-edge periodontal surgical techniques at dental conferences and through media appearances. His expertise spans all facets of Periodontics, with a particular focus on dental implantology for addressing tooth loss. He completed specialized training at the esteemed Misch International Implant Institute in Michigan.

Dedicated to staying abreast of advancements in his field, Dr. Dastoor pursues extensive continuing education to offer his patients the latest in technology and techniques. He maintains active membership in prestigious organizations including the American Dental Association, the American Academy of Periodontology, the Texas Dental Association, and the Greater Houston Dental Society. Additionally, Dr. Dastoor volunteers his weekends conducting dental screenings for military personnel at National Guard bases in the Houston area.

Originally hailing from Michigan and raised in Florida, Dr. Dastoor is delighted to call Houston his home. Fluent in Spanish and Gujarati, he enjoys spending his free time engaging in competitive tennis. He has been ranked #1 in advanced men's tennis leagues all around Houston. He cherishes moments with his twin eight-year-old daughters and enjoys spending time with his golden retriever, Simba.
